Kipras Blazevicius 6-5 So West Bloomfield: Smooth wing forward. Good balance, pump fake, touch in the lane. Comfortable taking the rebound the other way, makes good decisions. Not afraid to shoot it, but results come and go as his elbow swings out.
Paul Gadde 6-1 So Alma: He had the youngest player in camp playing point guard on his team, and Gadde was an ideal safety blanket with his knack for filling in the open spots, knocking down 3s and cashing in on misses with weakside put-backs. Smart team defender. In a year should be a slashing drive threat against closeouts and a more assertive calling for/getting the ball.
Ryne Peterson 6-1 So Battle Creek Pennfield: Part of a strong Pennfield contingent to make it to Grand Rapids. Attacked the basket offensively, was dialed in and competitive defensively. Ran hard and finished the break all day long. One coach went to far as to call him “relentless.”
Jacob Thornton 6-3 So Troy Athens: Was a tough matchup because Thornton is pretty strong so surprised defenders with his drives, but was also capable shooting the 3. Ran the floor hard and benefited doing it from his team’s point guard Keyon Menifield.
Dalton Wilkins 6-4 So Comstock: He’s grown full four inches since the start of spring AAU, and his game hasn’t just caught up, but expanded. Shot it well from deep in drills and it carried over to games. He rebounded well and finished consistently.
