Ypsilanti Lincoln 6-5 2021 Jalen Broyles was MVP of Bank Hoops’ unsigned seniors workout.
After missing his junior season with unenvious simultaneous broken wrists then seeing his team play just 13 games as a senior, 6-5 Ypsilanti Lincoln senior Jalen Broyles is a 2021 recruit with talent already and potential just flowing from him that college coaches need to see.
Broyles was the MVP of Bank Hoops unsigned 2021 workout. Attributes that first stand out with this Railsplitter are his length, left-handedness, versatility, fluidity and easy extension as a finisher, rebounder and shooter. In addition to Broyles’ wingspan he has second and third bounce on the glass, allowing offense with push off the defensive glass or to extend it off the glass with soft hands on the other end. He can get three-point plays from behind the arc and slashing through traffic. Has presence around the rim and can adjust to finish. Stays active and around the ball, without dominating it.
For the next level he won’t be able to rely on his size and speed to recover on defense, and sometimes just needs to dig down, wall off and make the blue-collar plays. Needs to define himself offensively, refine go-to moves to build on and take advantage of Broyles’ wide skillset.
